Sonangol Limited was formally incorporated on 1 February 1993 as a private limited liability company under English law, with its head office in London, England. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Angola’s national oil company, Sonangol E.P.
The Company was established to secure a strategic presence in the international oil market, with the primary mandate of marketing and selling crude oil owned by the Angolan Government.
